1. Who are we?
- Aladin Code
- Sole trader, represented by Michel Grauwen
- Arendonk 2370, Belgium
- VAT BE0897684817
- info@aladincode.com
2. Scope
These terms apply to every quote, order, delivery and repair by Aladin Code, unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
Aladin Code supplies businesses only, acting in the course of their professional activity. Orders from consumers are not accepted.
By placing an order you accept these terms. Any purchasing or procurement terms of the customer do not apply, unless we have expressly accepted them in writing.
3. Quotes
All quotes are without obligation and only bind Aladin Code after written confirmation of the order. Prices are always drawn up on request, matched to your volume, your labels and the accessories requested.
Prices are exclusive of VAT, unless stated otherwise. On-site installation is charged separately; its cost depends on the distance and is communicated in advance.
A quote applies to the delivery described in it. If you change the specifications afterwards, the price may be revised.
4. Delivery
Stated delivery periods are always indicative. They depend on availability at the manufacturer and are agreed together at the moment of ordering.
Exceeding the stated period gives no right to compensation, nor to cancellation of the order. If a delivery unexpectedly runs late, we will notify you and look for a solution together.
5. Payment
Invoices are payable within thirty days of the invoice date, unless a different period is stated on the invoice.
Depending on the size of the order, an advance payment may be requested. If so, the amount is stated on your quote in advance; you will never be confronted with it afterwards.
Retention of title: all goods supplied remain the property of Aladin Code until the invoice has been paid in full. The risk of loss or damage does pass to the customer from delivery onwards.
In the event of late payment, statutory default interest is due by operation of law and without notice of default, increased by a fixed compensation clause of 10% of the outstanding amount. We will of course send a reminder first.
6. Warranty on machines sold
The manufacturer’s warranty applies to the printers we supply. The exact duration and scope are agreed per machine and stated on your quote or invoice.
In any event the warranty does not cover:
- damage through incorrect or improper use;
- damage through the use of unsuitable media or ink, or of third-party consumables not intended for the machine;
- transport damage not reported immediately on receipt;
- damage through interventions, repairs or modifications by third parties;
- normal wear of consumable parts.
The warranty covers repair or replacement of the defective part. It does not cover consequential loss such as loss of production or downtime.
7. Maintenance and repairs
Aladin Code maintains and repairs the machines purchased from us. You report a fault via info@aladincode.com. We look at the problem remotely first; if an intervention proves necessary, we come on site or take the machine to our workshop, with a replacement machine for the duration of the repair.
Repairs are charged on the basis of the hours worked, the parts used and the travel. We aim to be on site within two working days, and sooner when your production is at a standstill. That period is a best-efforts obligation, not an obligation of result.
An annual preventive service is recommended but not compulsory.
We give no separate warranty on repairs carried out. The manufacturer’s warranty, if any, does apply to newly fitted parts. If a problem persists after an intervention, let us know — we will look at it again.
8. Ink and labels
We supply original ink and labels made to measure. Labels are cut to measure per order; delivery time and minimum quantities are agreed per order.
Labels made to measure are not taken back, unless they do not match what was agreed. We advise having a sample printed beforehand; we do that free of charge on request.
9. Complaints
Complaints about a delivery or a repair carried out should be reported as soon as possible by email to info@aladincode.com, stating your invoice number and a description of the problem. We deal with every complaint and look first and foremost for a practical solution.
Visible defects and transport damage must be reported at the delivery itself, at the moment you take receipt of the goods. Hidden defects should be reported as soon as you discover them.
10. Applicable law and competent court
Belgian law applies to all agreements with Aladin Code.
In the event of a dispute we cannot resolve between us, the Antwerp Companies Court, Turnhout division has exclusive jurisdiction.
