A pharmaceutical pack carries different data on every box, and the series you need of it is rarely large. That turns the usual sum on its head: here it is not the volume that decides the choice, but the accuracy and the freedom to print small.

    A batch sometimes calls for two hundred labels. At an outside printing house the conversation only starts at a multiple of that, so you buy stock you do not need. Anyone printing in house has such a series ready in minutes, with no minimum order.

  • Variable data per pack

    From batch number to expiry date: every pack carries different data, and often a different language version too. Those come straight from your existing label software instead of from a new print run at a printing house.

  • Flawlessly legible

    A barcode that will not scan holds up a batch. At 1200 dpi, barcodes, small typefaces and fine lines stay sharp — on synthetic material as well. Here legibility and traceability are not a finishing touch but a requirement.

Can I print variable data such as batch numbers on every pack?

Yes. The Callisto prints variable data straight from your existing label software — SAP, NiceLabel, BarTender, Loftware Spectrum and others. Lot number, expiry date and language version come per batch from the same label file, so you do not have to buy new label software.

Is the Callisto suitable for short runs?

Yes. There is no minimum run: if you need two hundred labels for a single one-off batch, you print two hundred, and that series is ready in minutes. To be fair: if you work exclusively with narrow labels in limited runs, this machine is sized more generously than you need. In that case our selection guide points to a lighter model.

How accurate is the printer on small labels?

The Callisto prints up to 1200 × 4800 dpi, which keeps barcodes, small typefaces and fine lines sharp — on synthetic material as well. We print labels from 25 mm wide; the media roll itself starts at 38 mm. A gap and mark sensor automatically recognises where one label stops and the next begins. We would rather not put a placement tolerance in millimetres on paper: it depends on your material and format, and we prefer to measure it on a test print of your own label.

Does the printer work with our existing label software?

Yes. The Callisto integrates with SAP, NiceLabel, BarTender and Loftware Spectrum, alongside other packages. So you do not have to rebuild your label designs in order to print in house.

Can we get a test print of our own label beforehand?

Yes. Send us your design with the size and material you want, and we will print a sample. That way you have the legibility and the barcode quality in your hands before you decide.
